Wolves refinances bank facility in landmark transaction

Based in Wolverhampton, UK, Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club (“Wolves”) is a professional football club competing in the Premier League.

At a Glance

PGIM initiated a direct calling relationship with Wolves in early 2025.The Club was exploring options to refinance its existing bank facility and was interested in capital which provided longer tenors and greater balance sheet flexibility.

As one of the first institutional lenders into a Premier League Club, PGIM worked extensively with both the Club and the League to effectuate the transaction. Navigating this process demonstrated PGIM’s constructive approach. In September 2025, PGIM provided Wolves with a Senior Secured Term Loan due in 2031.

Wolves chose to partner with PGIM given our ability to fulfil its full refinancing requirements with longer term capital vs. a traditional bank facility, along with our relationship-based approach.
