Jurgen Muhlhauser

Jurgen Muhlhauser is the chief financial officer of PGIM. In this capacity, he is responsible for all aspects of PGIM’s finance function, including controllership, treasury financial reporting, planning and analysis and capital management.

Muhlhauser is a member of the PGIM Operating Committee, the PGIM Investment and Risk Committees, and PGIM’s Carry Committees and sits on the PGIM Board of Directors.

Before assuming the CFO role, Muhlhauser was the managing director and assistant treasurer with the Corporate Finance Group, a part of the treasurer’s organization within Prudential Financial, Inc. (PFI). He was responsible for the company’s capital and financing plans and strategies, shareholder distribution philosophy, liquidity management and capital markets activities, including debt and equity issuance. Prior, Muhlhauser was the treasurer for the international business units — such as International Insurance, International Investments and Global Commodities — and the Asset Management Division. In this capacity, he was responsible for all aspects of borrowing, liquidity and capital management for these businesses. Previously, he held various positions in the treasurer’s organization, namely the business unit treasury for Prudential Securities Group and other corporate finance roles since 1997.

Muhlhauser joined PFI in 1988 in the Corporate Controller’s department. He held various accounting positions for the next seven years, including accounting for the Securities Lending and Derivatives businesses.

Muhlhauser earned a B.S. in business administration and finance from Bucknell University and an MBA in finance from New York University.
