PGIM Senior Vice President and Chief Information & Technology Officer
Mike Baker is Senior Vice President and Chief Information & Technology Officer for PGIM. During Mike’s 25-year career he has had a breadth of experience in financial services, including the deployment of fixed income trading systems and introduction of high-frequency trading capabilities. Mike’s deep expertise in asset management is being applied to help PGIM build tech-driven solutions that help clients and asset managers in their pursuit of outperformance.
Prior to joining PGIM, Mike served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer in the Global Technology organization, where he transformed and modernized the global infrastructure.
He joined Prudential Financial, Inc. after serving as the Chief Technology Officer at MarketAxess where he had global responsibility for software development, infrastructure, architecture, strategy development and deployment of their fixed income trading system, with a focus on building the firm’s next generation technology solutions. Earlier in his career, Mike led Fidelity Investment’s digital and agile transformation to the cloud, modernizing their infrastructure across the U.S., Ireland, and India. He also spent 15 years at Citadel Investment Group in Chicago, where he rose to Partner & Managing Director of architecture, high frequency Engineering and Infrastructure. He also held leadership roles at Metalogic, Bankers Trust and Salomon Brothers.
