Florence Chan

Florence Chan, is a Principal and Head of ABS Research for PGIM Fixed Income. Mrs. Chan is responsible for leading the ABS credit research team in analyzing consumer, commercial and esoteric ABS transactions, assigning internal credit and ESG ratings, reviewing transaction documentation, conducting issuer due diligence, working closely with portfolio management to determine relative attractiveness, and conducting surveillance on existing investments and industry trends. She previously specialized in Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) for ten years. Mrs. Chan plays an active leadership role in PGIM’s Women’s Advisory Council and PGIM Fixed Income’s Women’s Initiative Network. She is also an active member of the Structured Finance Association (SFA) seeking to represent our client’s best interests and to help promote a functioning market structure. Ms. Chan joined the team in 2006 following two years in the Prudential’s Actuarial Leadership Development Program. Ms. Chan earned a BS and a MS in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, minored in Actuarial Mathematics.
