Seiji Maruyama, CMA

Seiji Marumaya, CMA, is the Chief Investment Officer for PGIM Japan, Co., Ltd. (PGIM Japan) and Head of Japan fixed income. Mr. Maruyama is responsible for Japan domestic fixed income and equity investments. In addition, he oversees Japanese fixed income strategies. Prior to assuming his current role in 2021, Mr. Maruyama led Japanese fixed income investments as head of Japanese fixed income since 2008. He joined the Firm in 2002 as senior portfolio manager after one year with Prudential Insurance. Mr. Maruyama began his career at Nippon Credit Bank. During his fourteen year tenure, Mr. Maruyama held various positions including risk management, interest rate trading, fixed income portfolio management in the Switzerland office, and proprietary interest rate trading through JGB, futures, swap and options. Mr. Maruyama earned his LLB from Kwansei Gakuin University. He is a Certified Member Analyst of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (CMA).
