Sophia (Jingyan) Zhang, PhD, is an Executive Director and Senior Researcher at PGIM Quantitative Solutions, working within the Quantitative Equity Research team. In this role, she is responsible for alpha and implementation research that may be applicable across markets and strategies. Prior to joining PGIM in 2016, Zhang was a Quantitative Researcher and Portfolio Analyst at Nine Chapters Capital Management. Zhang earned a BS in mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China and an MA and PhD in computational and applied mathematics from Pennsylvania State University.
