Objective

The investment objective of the PGIM Jennison Carbon Solutions Equity Fund (the "Fund") is to seek long-term capital appreciation by investing in companies that are involved in activities that will reduce global carbon emissions and aid in the transition to a clean energy future. Jennison Associates has determined that the Fund qualifies as a Light Green Fund, which seeks to comply with the principles of Article 8 of the SFDR. The Fund promotes the reduction of carbon emissions by incorporating environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) factors into its investment process. Please see the Company's Fund Documents as defined below for additional information.

broader decarbonisation themes

In addition to typical areas like renewables and electrification, the Fund invests in overlooked areas aiding the overarching decarbonisation effort.

expanded emmissions scope

Unlike traditional decarbonisation strategies that focus solely on operational emissions (Scope 1-3), the fund also considers emissions avoided (Scope 4) into its analysis.

clear commitment to the goal

At least 80% of the fund must be invested in companies with a minimum of 30% of CAPEX, revenue or EBITDA dedicated to or derived from reducing global carbon emissions.

deeply experienced multidisciplinary team

Forward-looking, bottom-up approach drawing on a 20+ year track record in related fields such as natural resources, global utilities, renewable energy and infrastructure.
