Andrea Wong is a macroeconomist and is responsible for connecting the dots between global macro trends and analyzing their impact on asset prices. Before joining PGIM, Ms. Wong served as a trader on the open market desk of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where she helped manage the Fed’s Treasury balance sheet during the depths of the pandemic, briefed policymakers on notable market developments, and led Treasury trading on behalf of foreign central banks. She was also responsible for analyzing global capital flows and investigated the breakdown of the Treasury market in March 2020.
Ms. Wong started her career at Bloomberg, covering the macroeconomics of China and Taiwan. Born and raised in Hong Kong, she graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University and has an MBA from Columbia University, where she was a Knight Bagehot Fellow. She is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
