Taijiro Saito is a Managing Director and the Chief Operating Officer for PGIM Japan Co., Ltd. (PGIM Japan). Before joining PGIM Japan in 2020, Mr. Taijiro Saito was Head of Operation Change, Portfolio Services for Schroder Investment Management (Singapore). He was responsible for organizational, system, and process transformations in Portfolio Services closely partnering with global and regional business management teams to ensure efficient and scalable business environments existed in the APAC region. Prior to Schroder Investment Management (Singapore), Mr. Saito spent nine years at BlackRock Japan in various roles including Director, Head of Aladdin Implementation, BlackRock Solutions Japan and Head of Portfolio Compliance in BlackRock Japan. He implemented the Aladdin, Investment Book of Record platform to several Japanese Asset management, insurance, and pension firms and contributed strong business growth for BlackRock Solutions Japan. In Portfolio Compliance, Mr. Saito managed client guideline and regulatory monitoring for Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan portfolios and drove integration projects for BlackRock’s acquisition of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and Barclays Global Investors. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, change management and project management of information technology, and business solutions. Mr. Saito started his career at SOFTBANK TELECOM, CO. LTD. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from State University of New York, Buffalo.
