Jamie Shen
Jamie Shen is the Chief Investment Officer of PGIM's Agricultural Investments team. She leads the equity team in managing the portfolio of agricultural properties. Jamie is located in San Francisco.
Prior to joining PGIM in 2017, Jamie was an Executive Vice President and Practice Leader of Alternative Investments Consulting with Callan Associates where she had overall responsibility for Real Assets Consulting services. While Jamie's particular focus was on agriculture and real estate, she oversaw research and implementation of real estate, timber, infrastructure and agricultural asset classes. She worked with institutional investors in the development and implementation of client specific strategic and tactical plans, as well as provided ongoing oversight in the control and monitoring of clients' real asset portfolios. Additionally, Jamie oversaw all investment due diligence for real assets and chaired Callan's Alternative Investment Committee.
Prior to Callan, Jamie was a Principal with The McMahan Group, a San Francisco based-management consulting firm specializing in real estate enterprises. Specifically, Jamie consulted to a number of real estate investment advisors on organizational structure and investment vehicle design. She also assisted in preparing testimony for the Department of Labor on fiduciary standard of care relating to real estate investments. Jamie has worked in the real estate consulting groups of both Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young.
Jamie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
Jamie served on the Editorial Board of The Institutional Real Estate Letter. She has been a long-time member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and served on the Executive Committee of the PREA Board of Directors. Jamie was past Chairman of the NCREIF PREA Reporting Standards Board (formerly known as REIS). Jamie has written papers, presented or led conference panel discussions for multiple industry organization such as the Institute for Fiduciary Education (IFE), PREA, Global AgInvesting, World Forest Institute, Women's Private Equity Summit and Private Equity Real Estate (PERE).
