Kelly Follain is head of Agency Lending with PGIM Real Estate. In this role, her focus is on the expansion of the company's leadership position in multifamily lending. In addition, Kelly is responsible for an $80 million “fund of funds” where PGIM invests in Multifamily focused Funds. She is based in Arlington, Virginia.
Most recently, Kelly served as the chief operating officer of Agency Lending; responsible for executing business strategy and oversight of operations for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Affordable Housing and FHA multifamily and healthcare loans.
Kelly joined the company in 2016 and has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate lending, with expertise in agency financing, multifamily real estate and CMBS lending. Prior to joining PGIM, she served as vice president- underwriting and credit with Freddie Mac, from 2008 to 2016 where she was responsible for the multifamily risk distribution and credit team including large loan approvals and securitization due diligence. Previously, she was a vice president at Wells Fargo in Chicago and an underwriting manager for commercial mortgage originations. Kelly started her career with Bloomfield Acceptance Company, a mortgage banking firm in Birmingham, MI with a wide range of lender relationships including CMBS, agency, banks, and life companies.
Kelly received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Michigan. Kelly serves as the chair of the Fannie Mae DUS® Lender Advisory Council. She is also a member of the CRE Finance Council, Urban Land Institute, Mortgage Bankers Association and National Multifamily Housing Council. Within PGIM, Kelly is Executive Sponsor of KIPP DC and a member of the Women’s Advisory Council.
