Marcia Diaz is a managing director at PGIM Real Estate and the head of U.S. Financing Solutions and global head of Senior Debt Solutions. Based in Los Angeles, Marcia is responsible for creating a cohesive approach that will better enable us to provide comprehensive, tailored financing solutions to PGIM Real Estate’s top global sponsors. She is also a member of the Global Management Council and serves as the senior sponsor for PGIM Real Estate’s diversity, equity and inclusion program.
Previously, Marcia was the head of U.S. Core Debt where she was responsible for overseeing the portfolio management of PGIM Real Estate’s U.S. core debt strategies on behalf of institutional investors. Prior, Marcia was also head of U.S. Debt Originations where for 12 years she directed the origination platform of commercial mortgage loans across all major capital sources and property types throughout the United States. In this role, Marcia oversaw for the development and growth of the company’s core plus financing capabilities.
Marcia is a highly accomplished and recognized senior executive with over 30 years of consistent success in commercial real estate financial services. Marcia has been recognized in multiple industry publications, including Commercial Observer’s annual Most Important Figures of Commercial Real Estate Finance every year since 2017.
Since joining the company in 1990, Marcia has served in various roles. Her experience includes working with Prudential Securities from 1997 to 2001, where she served as vice president in the Real Estate Investment Banking group, and participated in merger and acquisition assignments, private placements of debt and equity and public equity issuances. She was also an asset manager with Prudential Realty Group from 1995 to 1997, where she managed a 7 million square foot mixed-use urban commercial real estate portfolio and implemented strategies for identified assets. Earlier, Marcia worked with the company's Mortgage Asset Management Group, where she structured and negotiated problem loan workouts, bankruptcy strategy and foreclosures.
Marcia received a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University, and a master of business administration from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
