STRONG RISK MANAGEMENT

We carefully consider ESG issues as part of our rigorous investment analysis and due diligence processes. We screen partners for potential conflicts of interest and seek to ensure that our asset management protocols and regulatory reviews maximize value for our investors. We have implemented Sustainable Standard Operating Guidelines (SSOG) to reduce energy use, benchmark properties for energy use and assess how to improve property performance.  

 

In addition to evaluating new acquisitions, we perform environmental and social due diligence for our existing assets to identify and prioritize needed improvements where needed. 

MEASURING OUR PROGRESS

We demonstrate our commitment to accountability and integrity by voluntarily reporting our ESG progress to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and GRESB as performance markers for assessing and improving our performance, raising awareness with stakeholders and providing our investors with increased transparency.

Real Estate’s philosophy and approach to sustainability are deeply rooted in the principles of materiality and focused on reducing carbon emissions, enhancing resilience, and building value. The company integrates material factors of sustainability explicitly and systematically throughout the investment life cycle to lower risk and generate returns.
