Mike McRoberts is head of Agency Lending with PGIM Real Estate and serves as chairman of the Agency platform. In this role, his focus is on the expansion of the company’s leadership position in multifamily lending, responsible for executing business strategy and oversight of operations for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Affordable Housing and FHA multifamily and healthcare loans. In addition, Mike is responsible for an $80 million “fund of funds” where PGIM invests in Multifamily focused private equity Funds.
Prior to joining the company in 2011, Mike served as vice president and national head of sales and production for Freddie Mac with responsibility for the agency’s conventional multifamily business, structured transactions, senior's housing, the national Freddie Mac Program Plus® network and Freddie’s four regional production offices. Earlier, he was National Head of Underwriting and Credit for Freddie Mac. Before joining Freddie Mac in 1992, Mike held positions at First Maryland Mortgage Corporation in Baltimore and First Interstate Mortgage Corporation in Denver and Kansas City.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in real estate and finance, from the Terry College of Business, University of Georgia. Mike is a past multi-year chairman of the Fannie Mae DUS® Advisory Council and serves on the Multifamily Committee for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). Mike also sits on the Board of Directors of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and is former Chair, current member of the NMHC Finance Committee. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
