Emily Garbaccio is chief communications officer for PGIM, the investment management business of Prudential Financial, Inc. In this role, she leads the global communications team and is responsible for employee communications, external communications and executive positioning efforts, developing and implementing communications strategies that protect, promote and enhance PGIM’s reputation as a leading active asset manager globally.
Garbaccio has spent her career building corporate reputations for iconic brands, honoring each company’s legacy while positioning it for the future. She recently served in a dual role at AIG as global head of corporate communications and global chief marketing & communications officer, general insurance, during its historic transformation, leading change management initiatives and communications strategies for major corporate milestones and numerous complex financial transactions. Her background includes more than 20 years of in-house and agency leadership roles at companies including Kate Spade, JCPenney, LaForce and Burson-Marsteller.
Garbaccio holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism, magna cum laude, from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism.
