James Costabile

James Costabile is the head of Product and Marketing at PGIM, where he leads the firm’s global product and marketing strategy. He is responsible for driving growth and scaling PGIM’s offerings across public and private market capabilities for both institutional and retail clients. He is focused on strategically positioning PGIM’s investment solutions to meet the evolving needs of clients, in partnership with the firm’s investment and distribution teams.

Prior to joining PGIM, Costabile was managing director and head of Alternative Investments Distribution at iCapital. In this role, he led the Private Wealth Solutions and U.S. Marketplace teams, overseeing sales and service professionals, strategic account managers and platform specialists. His team collaborated with asset managers and wealth management firms to educate financial advisors on the full spectrum of alternative investments including hedge funds, private equity, private credit and real assets. Under his leadership, the team delivered industry-leading education, supporting collateral and access to differentiated investment capabilities.

With more than 25 years of experience in financial services, Costabile began working with alternative investment strategies in 1997. He has held senior roles across sales, marketing and product management at Citi/Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley Investment Management.

Costabile graduated from Fordham University with a B.S., holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses and is a CAIA charter holder.
