Understanding SaaS Profitability
Jennison believes that investors today often miss the real profitability of SaaS companies.
Rising uncertainty in the markets over the past year has led to a significant repricing of risk. This repricing has been especially hard on the stocks of higher-growth, higher-valuation companies, such as those in the software as a service (SaaS) space. The significant underperformance of SaaS companies during this period, however, does not reflect their fundamental strength or long-term growth potential.
