Brian Barnhurst, CFA

Brian Barnhurst, CFA, is a Managing Director and Head of Global Credit Research for PGIM Fixed Income.  Previously, Mr. Barnhurst was a portfolio manager on PGIM Fixed Income’s U.S. High Yield Team, with additional responsibility as sleeve manager for the Global High Yield portfolios. Prior to that, Mr. Barnhurst was a portfolio manager on the European Leveraged Finance Team based in London, directing investments across the firm’s European CLO, loan, and high yield portfolios. While based in London, Mr. Barnhurst was the European Leveraged Finance sleeve manager for the Global High Yield and Multi-Sector strategies. Prior to joining the Leveraged Finance Portfolio Management team in 2017, he was a senior high-yield credit analyst covering the energy and automotive sectors. Mr. Barnhurst began his career as an analyst in the Leveraged Bank Loan Group of the Firm in 2005. He received a BS in Business Administration from Villanova University, with a concentration in Finance. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
