David Klausner is a Senior Associate and ESG Specialist for PGIM Fixed Income, based in Newark, NJ. Mr. Klausner is focused on ESG integration and undertakes sector, thematic and issuer level ESG research across all fixed income asset classes and regions, with specific sector coverage of oil, gas and utilities. He also participates in ESG engagements with issuers, industry organizations and arranging banks. Prior to joining the Firm in 2022, Mr. Klausner was a Director of Thematic Research at PGIM where he was responsible for researching and authoring the firm’s Megatrend series. Prior to that, he was the Director of Research at an international development consultancy in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where he worked closely with international financial institutions such as the World Bank and Asian Development Bank. Mr. Klausner received a Masters in Global Finance from New York University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in economics and political science from Tufts University.
