Aaron Abelson is an executive director at PGIM Real Estate. Based in Chicago, Aaron is responsible for originating a broad range of multifamily mortgage products on behalf of the Agencies – Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA, with additional access to the firm’s proprietary capital sources and bridge loan capabilities. Additionally, Aaron will source third party debt opportunities as well as equity opportunities on behalf of clients.
Prior to joining PGIM Real Estate, Aaron was a senior vice president and managing director for Berkadia Commercial Mortgage LLC, where he originated transactions totaling more $3.5 billion. Aaron has over twenty years of experience. Before then, he was senior vice president with Alliant Capital, LLC and HSBC Bank USA. At HSBC, Aaron managed the Midwest loan production team.
From 2000 to 2006 he ran the Chicago office for Arbor National Commercial Mortgage, a Fannie Mae DUS lender. Prior to that he spent 6 years with Baird & Warner Real Estate Capital, a mortgage banking firm in Chicago.
Aaron has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School.
