Kathy Sayko leads Prudential’s Culture and Inclusion team as well as PGIM’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) office to foster a high-performing and inclusive workplace.
As Global Head of Prudential’s Culture and Inclusion organization, Kathy and her team are charged with the design and execution of the culture change agenda of the firm, focused on fostering a high-performance culture, enabling the company’s growth strategy. This requires preserving Prudential’s reputation and the quality of our people, while driving behavior and process changes required to strengthen our position as a global and diversified financial services company with sustainable, profitable growth. This is a global mandate sponsored by the CEO and Global Leadership Team, grounded in our culture expectations of candor, accountability, calibrated risk and delivering for our customers.
As PGIM’s Chief DEI Officer, Kathy and her team implement inclusive leadership initiatives, collaborate with PGIM’s leadership team on strategic talent and culture efforts, and partner with global leaders in the investment industry to advance inclusion across asset management. Under Kathy’s leadership, PGIM has launched an HBCU Investment Strategy aimed at supporting HBCU endowments and faculty, while instituting several student-run investment funds. She serves as chair of the Prudential Emerging Managers Program Council, which aims to increase the universe of next-gen managers globally including those of historically underrepresented backgrounds, while serving the investment performance demands of the Prudential General Account. Her team advises several global industry bodies on best practices in diversity, equity and inclusion, originates thought leadership and created the Ron Andrews Scholarship to ensure the investment industry is a destination for top talent.
In 2022, Kathy was named to Insider’s list of DEI Trailblazers in Corporate America. Kathy is on the board of directors for Integrate Autism Employment Advisors.
Before assuming her current role, Kathy served as a Managing Director on Prudential’s Client Management team, where she maintained relationships with executives at our largest clients and financial partners. Kathy was actively engaged in the PGIM Women’s Advisory Council and served on the Board of the Prudential’s Asian Pacific Islander Americans (APA) BRG. Prior to joining PFI in 2011, Kathy was with JPMorgan Chase for 17 years, most recently in their Diversified Investment Banking Coverage group. She was deeply involved in talent and diversity efforts and was a founding member of the JPM Women’s Efficacy Program.
Kathy holds an MBA in finance from New York University, Stern School of Business, and a BS in computer science from James Madison University. She holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
