Birgit Lundem Jakobsen

Birgit Lundem Jakobsen is an Associate and ESG Specialist for PGIM Fixed Income, based in London. Ms. Jakobsen is focused on ESG integration and undertakes sector, thematic and issuer level ESG research across all fixed income asset classes and regions, with specific sector coverage of pharmaceuticals and TMT. Ms. Jakobsen also participates in ESG engagements with issuers, industry organizations and arranging banks. Following an extended career break, Ms. Jakobsen joined the Firm as part of the Women Returners’ Programme in 2022. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Jakobsen was a Director of Finance of AstraZeneca, where she worked on several acquisitions and strategic initiatives. During her earlier career, Ms. Jakobsen worked for J.P. Morgan within M&A in the Nordic region and Debt Capital Markets within origination and execution of private debt and high yield bonds. Ms. Jakobsen received a Masters in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School and London School of Economics and a BA in International Business from Copenhagen Business School and University of St. Gallen.
