Mark A. Eidson
Mark Eidson is an executive director at PGIM Real Estate. Based in Atlanta, Mark is responsible for originating a broad range of multifamily mortgage products nationally on behalf of the Agencies – Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA, with additional access to the firm’s proprietary capital sources and bridge loan capabilities.
Mark has been involved in the development, acquisition and financing of multifamily projects for over 30 years. He has significant experience and expertise in affordable-housing finance, including tax-exempt bonds, low-income housing tax credit, Section 8 rental assistance and public housing, rental assistance demonstration and Hope VI.
Prior to joining PGIM Real Estate in 2004, Mark was with a direct competitor, using the FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan programs to concentrate on similar transactions. Earlier, he was in the investment banking industry at one of the largest municipal bond underwriters, specializing in tax-exempt bonds through FHA, agency and private placement programs. Prior to that, he was with various multifamily developers and owners as chief financial officer, focusing on financing, financial-reporting, financial management, legal and transactional aspects of portfolios that included market-rate and affordable projects.
Mark has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in finance and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting, both of them from the University of Tennessee. He currently serves on the board of the Southeast Mortgagee Advisory Council, a trade group of national FHA multifamily lenders.
