Wataru Yamaguchi, is Managing Director and Head of Global Trading at PGIM Quantitative Solutions. In this role, he manages all aspects of trading in the US and international markets for institutional strategies and oversees the trading team. The team currently transacts in equities, derivatives, and fixed income products. Prior to joining PGIM in 2013, Yamaguchi was a Senior Trader for Alphabet Partners LP, a hedge fund focused on special situations, merger arbitrage, tenders, event driven, and volatility situations. Previously, he held trading roles with Hudson Bay Capital Management, Perch Bay Group, G&D Trading Company, and Timber Hill. Yamaguchi earned a BA in economics and a BS in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
