Ankit Patel is a senior director at PGIM Real Estate and a member of the U.S. Real Estate Debt Originations team. Based in New York, Ankit is responsible for originating a broad range of commercial mortgage products on behalf of Core, Core Plus, Agency and High Yield investors for borrowers based in the Northeast region.
Most recently, Ankit served on PGIM Real Estate’s Core Plus Transactions team, where he reviewed and structured new debt investment opportunities across all major property types. Prior to rejoining PGIM Real Estate in 2025, he was a vice president of Originations at PIMCO, where he originated Core Plus and High Yield debt investments across all major property types.
Earlier in his career at PGIM Real Estate, Ankit served as an originations analyst, responsible for originating, underwriting, and closing commercial mortgage loans. He also worked on the portfolio management team, allocating and valuing a $60 billion commercial and agricultural real estate debt portfolio. Ankit began his career at Prudential in corporate finance, analyzing capital and liquidity at the enterprise level.
Ankit has a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Rutgers Business School, New Brunswick Campus. Ankit is also a CFA® Charterholder.
