Chris Porter is an executive director at PGIM Real Estate and national manager of agribusiness for the company’s Agricultural Finance group.
Based in the Denver metro area, Chris is responsible for overseeing agribusiness originations by driving strategy and production goals across the platform.
Hailing from Central Kansas, Chris grew up on a 5,000-acre, fourth generation family farm and has more than 30 years of agricultural-lending experience across a broad range of segments, including core farm, timber, animal proteins, grains and oilseeds, food processing, and dairy.
Prior to joining PGIM Real Estate, Chris was a director of the agricultural strategies group at MetLife. In that role, Chris developed and implemented growth strategies for the firm’s $22-billion portfolio of agricultural mortgage loan investments in North America and South America. Before that, Chris held roles with Huntington National Bank in the bank’s food and agribusiness division — first as senior relationship manager and then as managing director.
Chris has a Bachelor of Science in business finance from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business.
