PGIM Quantitative Solutions expands investment and distribution units with senior hires

NEWARK, N.J., April 10, 2025 - PGIM Quantitative Solutions (PGIM Quant), the quantitative and multi-asset specialist of PGIM, has made strategic additions to its Quantitative Equity, Multi-Asset and Distribution teams. PGIM is the $1.38 trillion* global investment management business of Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU).

The firm has appointed Jeff Young as managing director, head of investment strategy for its Multi-Asset unit, reporting to Marco Aiolfi, Ph.D., head of Multi-Asset. Additionally, Derek Towle joined the firm as principal, North American Institutional Sales, reporting to Brad Zenz, head of North American Sales.

The firm also announced junior hires across its Quantitative Equity, Multi-Asset and Distribution units, further expanding the stable of talent across the business.

  • Jeff Young, Managing Director, Head of Investment Strategy, Multi-Asset: In his new role, Young will oversee investment strategy and macro analysis of the firm's multi-asset investment solutions. He brings more than three decades of experience analyzing global macroeconomics and developing systematic strategies. Most recently, Young was the CEO and co-founder of DeepMacro, a data-based investment advisory firm. Young graduated from Princeton University with a Master of Public Administration degree in international relations and received his B.A. in history from Reed College.
  • Derek Towle, Principal, North American Institutional Sales: Towle will be responsible for institutional client relations and business development across Northeastern U.S. and Canada. He joins the firm from Acadian Asset Management, where he led Canadian sales efforts for over 15 years. Towle graduated from Boston University's Questrom School of Business with a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and received his B.A. in finance from the College of the Holy Cross.
