Beyond portfolio investment activities, we firmly believe in the importance of effective stewardship and engagement as a mechanism to proactively address material risks or egregious sustainability behaviors of a company. And as quantitative investors managing highly diversified portfolios across large global universes, we view “market-level” engagement with policymakers and regulators as well as collaboration with industry organizations to promote improved disclosure of information that could enhance outcomes for client portfolios as critical components of our sustainability-focused investment process.
